Terms of Service
Version: 1.0.0
Effective Date: August 16, 2026
Last Updated: August 16, 2026
Welcome to EliteBrackets! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our pickleball tournament management platform, operated by Leet Brothers, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By using EliteBrackets (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms.
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Leet Brothers, LLC.
2. Eligibility
You must:
- Be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction)
- Be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement
- Comply with all applicable laws
3. About Our Service
EliteBrackets is a tournament management platform for pickleball events. The Platform enables:
- Tournament Creation & Management — Directors can create, configure, and run tournaments
- Player Registration — Sign-up flows including individual and partner registration
- Live Tournament Tracking — Real-time match, bracket, and standings updates
- Entry-Fee Collection — Players pay the tournament entry fee plus the Company's platform fee through Stripe at checkout. The entry fee flows directly to the tournament director's Stripe Connect account; the platform fee is retained by the Company in exchange for registration and placement services rendered at signup.
- Communication — In-platform messaging and email notifications between players and directors
The Company provides software for directors to operate their own tournaments. The Company is not the tournament organizer, host, or sponsor of any tournament listed on the Platform.
We do not guarantee:
- Tournament outcomes or results
- 100% uptime or availability
- Prize fulfillment, payouts, or any cash or non-cash awards advertised by tournament directors
4. User Accounts
Account Types
- Players — Register for tournaments, track progress, and connect with other players
- Tournament Directors — Create and manage tournaments, handle registrations, and run events
You may sign up via email/password or via a supported third-party identity provider (Google, Apple, GitHub, or Discord).
Account Requirements
When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access to your account
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.
5. Tournament Registration & Participation
Registration
- Tournament registration is subject to availability and tournament-specific requirements
- Some tournaments may require a verified DUPR rating or other qualifications set by the director
- A registration consists of two charges: (1) the entry fee set by the tournament director, and (2) the Company's platform fee. The entry fee may be refundable depending on the tournament's refund policy. The platform fee is non-refundable in all circumstances (see Section 6).
- You must comply with all tournament rules and requirements
Partner Selection (Doubles)
For doubles tournaments, you may:
- Invite a specific partner by username or email
- Join a tournament's free-agent pool to be matched manually with another available player
- Be matched by the tournament director
Partner assignments are subject to tournament director approval. Changes may not be possible after registration closes.
Player Conduct
All players must:
- Display good sportsmanship and respect for opponents, officials, and staff
- Follow tournament rules and regulations
- Arrive on time for scheduled matches
- Report scores accurately and promptly
6. Payments & Entry Fees
When you register for a tournament, you pay two separate amounts as part of a single checkout:
- The entry fee, set by the tournament director
- The Company's platform fee, set by the Company
Both amounts are itemized at checkout before you complete payment. Payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc.; we do not store card numbers.
Entry Fee
- The entry fee is set by the tournament director
- Funds flow directly to the tournament director. Directors collect entry fees via Stripe Connect into their own Stripe accounts. The Company does not custody, hold, escrow, or control entry-fee funds at any point.
- Once the entry fee is paid to the director, the Company has no role in how those funds are used. Directors are solely responsible for tournament operations, expenses, prize distribution, and any other disposition of the funds they receive.
Platform Fee
- The Company charges a platform fee per player, per tournament registration, in exchange for registration and placement services (creating and managing your registration record, partner/team formation, division and bracket placement, communications, and ongoing access to the Platform for that tournament).
- The fee is assessed once per registration (regardless of how many payments, partners, or events within the tournament are involved).
- The platform fee is disclosed to the player at checkout as a separate, itemized line item before payment is completed.
- The platform fee is retained by the Company and does not flow to the tournament director.
- The platform fee is earned at the moment of registration. The registration and placement services are rendered at signup, and the fee is fully earned at that point regardless of whether the player ultimately participates in matches.
Refunds
- Entry fee refunds are governed by the tournament director's refund policy, which is set on a per-tournament basis. Refund requests must be submitted according to that policy. When approved, entry-fee refunds are issued by the tournament director through Stripe and may take 5–10 business days to appear. The Company does not initiate or fund entry-fee refunds on a director's behalf.
- Platform fee refunds. The platform fee is non-refundable in all circumstances, including but not limited to: voluntary withdrawal, removal from the tournament, no-show, partner unavailability, division cancellation, tournament cancellation, postponement, weather events, or any other reason the player does not play. This is because the registration and placement services for which the platform fee is charged are rendered at the moment of signup and are fully performed at that time.
- Stripe processing fees on the original payment may also be non-recoverable; this is determined by Stripe.
Prize Distribution and Advertised Payouts
Any prizes, payouts, cash awards, gift cards, merchandise, or other rewards advertised by a tournament director are the sole responsibility of that director. The Company:
- Does not collect, hold, escrow, or distribute prize money or any other prize
- Does not verify that a director has funds available to pay advertised prizes
- Does not monitor, guarantee, or enforce the fulfillment of any advertised prize, payout, or award
- Is not a party to any prize, payout, or award promised by a director, and makes no representations about whether such prizes will be paid
Disputes regarding unpaid, partial, or undelivered prizes are solely between the player and the tournament director. You should evaluate a tournament director's reputation and prize-fulfillment history before registering for tournaments that advertise prizes or payouts.
7. Tournament Director Responsibilities
Tournament directors using the Platform agree to:
- Provide accurate tournament information and keep details up to date
- Respond promptly to player inquiries and issues
- Run tournaments fairly and consistently
- Comply with applicable local laws and regulations, including any laws related to prize awards, payouts, contests, gambling, or sweepstakes they choose to operate
- Handle disputes professionally and impartially
- Fund and distribute any prizes, payouts, or cash awards they have advertised, using their own funds (the Company does not collect, hold, or distribute prize money on a director's behalf)
- Make their own determination, with their own legal counsel, about whether their tournament structure complies with applicable laws governing contests of skill, prize awards, or payouts
Registrant Data
When players register for your tournament, the Platform gives you access to personal information about them — including their name, email address, date of birth, and gender. As a condition of that access, you agree to the following:
- Use it only to run that tournament. Permitted uses are verifying division eligibility, communicating with players about their schedule, matches, and results, administering entry fees and refunds, and operating the event itself.
- No marketing without separate consent. You may not add registrants to a mailing list, newsletter, or promotional campaign — including for your own future tournaments — unless that player has separately and affirmatively agreed to receive it. Registering for a tournament is not consent to be marketed to.
- No sale or transfer. You may not sell, rent, license, publish, or otherwise disclose registrant information to any third party, except to your own staff to the extent they need it to run the event.
- Protect it. Use reasonable security measures, limit access to staff who need it, and do not retain it longer than you need it for that tournament and any related legal or accounting obligations.
- Honor player rights. If a player asks you to access, correct, or delete their information, forward the request to the Company at the address in the Contact Information section below within five (5) business days, and cooperate with us in responding to it.
You act as an independent controller of registrant information — not as the Company's agent, processor, or service provider — and you are solely responsible for your own compliance with applicable privacy and data-protection laws. You will indemnify the Company for claims arising from your handling of registrant information, as provided in Section 13.
The Company may suspend or revoke your access to registrant information, and to the Platform, if you breach this section.
Stripe Connect
Directors using payment features must:
- Complete Stripe's account verification and onboarding
- Comply with Stripe's terms of service
- Handle refunds in accordance with their tournament's stated refund policy

Text Message (SMS) Alerts
You may optionally opt in to receive text alerts from EliteBrackets Match Alerts about your tournament participation — court assignments, match and schedule changes, score confirmations, partner invitations, and urgent tournament updates. By providing your mobile number, verifying it, and checking the consent box, you agree to receive automated text messages at that number.
- Consent is voluntary. It is not a condition of creating an account, registering for a tournament, or purchasing anything.
- Frequency. Message frequency varies with your tournament activity.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard rates apply; we do not charge for these messages.
- Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from all text alerts, or turn them off in your account settings. Reply START to resubscribe, or HELP for assistance.
- Accuracy. You represent that the number you provide is your own, and agree to update or remove it if it is reassigned to someone else.
- Delivery. Messages are delivered by third-party carriers and may be delayed or fail to arrive. Text alerts are a convenience, not a guarantee of notice — you remain responsible for knowing your match times. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Our handling of your phone number and consent record, including our commitment never to sell or share it, is described in Section 14 of the Privacy Policy.
